Tugu perbatasan antara Sumedang-Bandung di Kec. Jatinangor sekarang terlihat cukup nyeni dibandingkan sebelumnya. Mungkin akan lebih bagus lagi jika billboard diatasnya dihilangkan.

This is a new display of Sumedang border sign in Jatinangor. I like it. The pattern and its color combination, well done, except the billboard. You can see and compare the previous picture of this border sign I took in 2009, here.

It's a peddler plied his merchandise, braided bamboo wall (called bilik bambu), a traditional wall used by our ancestor before cement was discovered. Bilik bambu still used until now, especially in villages here. These traditional bamboo wall cost about IDR. 15.000 - 25.000/meter ( US$ 2-4/meter ).

Ngaladangan is a sundanese word means serving. In the picture, the woman was serving the customers who want to buy gorengan (fried food).

Jembatan Cincin di Jatinangor. Semoga suatu hari jembatan ini akan aktif kembali dilintasi kereta api.

Cincin bridge (literally: ring bridge) was built by the national railway company of The Netherlands called Staat Spoorwagen Verenidge Spoorwegbedrijf in 1918. Unfortunately, this exotic bridge is no longer activated since the early of '40s when Indonesia was colonized by Japan.

Inilah tugu/gerbang perbatasan antara Sumedang - Bandung. Berada di Kecamatan Jatinangor, sebelum pintu tol Cileunyi dari arah Sumedang.
