Great shot, very atmospheric. You asked how I capture lightning, and my main three tips are - stay safe (that's most important), live in a place with a lot of thunderstorms (we get 40 or 50 days with thunderstorms every year at my house, sometimes many more than that), and use long exposures (you can't react quickly enough once the lightning strikes). I wrote up details on a blog post at http://www.alsphotographyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/rainy-lightning.html.
Thank you Al for the tips. :) But, thunderstorm is a very rare thing here, even in rainy season. It's shocking me knowing that your place got more than 40 days with thunderstorm per year.
